I am successfully reinventing the male species style in Aberdeen one shoe at a time. It evokes a strong sense of power when a customer buys a pair of shoes you have personally chosen. Especially after defending your case remarkably well. It's almost empowering!

The world of men's shoes and choices is somewhat limited; Loafers, boat shoes, slip ons, lace ups, high-tops...I almost feel sorry for them that they don't share the same excitement of us ladies when we shoe shop. There's nothing like it when your heart skips a beat when you see the new collection glistening on display or slip on that perfect 'will go with everything' court shoe. What I don't understand is how men seem to get it so wrong when their choice availability is so narrow. Essentially there are four men's categories: formals, casuals, boots and trainers. These categories get subsequently broken down into different styles and colour options to potentialise purchase. This is all that is required of the male - two simple steps!

The men's shoes we stock are of premium leather, and the Dune Black range is handmade using luxurious Spanish leather - an easy sale really! Dune have a vast range of styles and colour options to suit every need. What I find unfathomable are men's taste buds. A customer came in wearing the unimaginable; navy trousers with black shoes. Luckily I was there to steer him down the right path and offer a range of suitable and smart brown shoes. He bought without hesitation :)
