A Dunette

So I survived my first week at Dune and I'm officially a Dunette! Great first impression being ill on my first day at my new job but hopefully they will forgive me? There has already been talks of a management 'night out' so maybe I can redeem myself then? Or make matters worse. Although I think my Irish charm has grown on them already despite the plague I have brought into the store...


It's the little things that remind you you're working for an affordable luxury brand. The company have produced their very own bottled water - 'A drop of Dune'. Now that screams power and uniqueness. The packaging is even on trend with a monochrome checkerboard pattern. So cuuuuute >>>>

I was overwhelmed by the amount of responsibility management has thrust upon me. They trust me with keys, tills and everything in-between. I feel so grown up! And there is a substantial amount of paperwork to complete. I enjoy increasingly my product knowledge and making myself aware of the company's bestsellers and volume lines so I will ease into it well! I am very excited to hone my visual merchandising skills and make the displays all pretty and appealing :)

I have told I need to be more 'assertive' which is a scary thought. I need to develop a management style...Any ideas ?? I have a team of 10 girls to motivate, inspire and assist so there's quite a lot of pressure. I have to drive sales and conversion to achieve daily targets. However, I am looking forward to the challenge!
